Now that you know my secret you can imagine how my heart began to race and beads of perspiration began to form on my forehead when I saw these books at Goodwill. I frantically searched the bottom of my purse for spare change and decided it would be no problem to change the dinner menu from salmon to peanut butter and jelly. Priorities. Protein is protein - right?

hahahahaha!!! I have the EXACT same problem!!! You won't find another middle school teacher with as many picture books as me in this country!!!

My librarian had some books out on display. "I have that one, that one, that one, don't have that one yet..." I don't have as many nonfiction books as the school library, but I am definitely close in the fiction department. Sad news, my basement flooded this fall and my fourth and fifth grade books got wet. We fanned pages, used a hair dryer, but I THREW away books. I almost needed therapy.

I think a lot of teachers have this problem! I am not teaching this year, but I still make my weekly trips to BN to look at the latest books! Sometimes I take my books with me when I substitute teach. I want them to be used and loved!
